I am not generally known as a photographer of people, so while traveling with my family in Africa, I decided to try leaving my comfort zone (landscapes & nature) and attempt some candid portraits. All of these photographs were captured in a very poor and remote region of Western Uganda. Some of these images were published in National Geographic Magazine in 2009.
